Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division to Participate in National Consumer Protection Week

PIERRE, S.D. - Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) begins today and runs through March 7th and the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division will join with federal, state and local government agencies and national organization to celebrate this 17th annual event. NCPW is a coordinated campaign that encourages consumers nationwide to take full advantage of their consumer rights and make better-informed decisions.

In 2014, the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division recovered $3,400,536.44 for consumers. The Division fielded 34,838 consumer inquires including phone calls, emails and correspondences.
